Sakuya is a new character introduced in Tenchi in Tokyo which is also known as Shin Tenchi Muyo. She is the first character who Tenchi falls in love with. As you can imagine this does not go over very smoothly with the girls back at the house. Specifically Ayeka and Ryoko. While Sakuya is a normal human she is putting herself in danger by getting involved with Tenchi. After all he's on the hit list of many an alien villain. No to mention the danger involved in getting in the way of Ayeka and Ryoko.

Spaceship: Tsunami

Sasami is the younger sister of Ayeka. Sasami is a paradox of childishness and maturity. While she enjoys the childhood pleasures she also harbors a deeper level of maturity. Being a member of the Jurain Royal Family she inherited some abilities. But she lost these during her unfortunate incident. During the attack a Jurian battleship crashed into a building which Sasami was in. Sasami fell into a deep chasm where there were many trees of Jurai. One of these trees was Tsunami who sensed that Sasami was dying. Tsunami used some of her life force to save her. Ever since that time two triangular markings have been visible on her forehead.

Tsunami and Sasami are assimilated for the time being Sasami and Tsunami are separate beings but when Sasami grows up she will become one Tsunami. Because of this Sasami is haunted my terrifying nightmares which occur frequently. They usually are visions of things to come. Not exactly the way they will occur but they give her an idea of what is going to happen. Her nightmares are not set in stone though, she can change the future by making others make different decisions that would lead to thier future. An example was of her dream that Tokimi would take Tenchi away from her when she needed him.The triangular marks on Sasami's forehead are considered to be a status symbol on Jurai and that is something that all Jurians want. It represents power and only the most powerful of Jurains have them. Not even Yosho has these markings on his forehead. Some achieve this through the use of make-up, however Sasami's are real, and so are Tenchi's.

Kiyone Makibi

On her first assignment she was assigned a partner named Mihoshi. Mihoshi was a bubbly headed blonde. She single-handedly caused the downward spiral of Kiyone's career. She did nothing on purpose its just the way Mihoshi is. Her future as a Galaxy Police detective was put on hold and she became a resident officer on a remote planet named Earth. Kiyone wants nothing more than to resume her career and ascend the ranks of the Galaxy Police. However, even fate cannot separate Kiyone and Mihoshi. At the end of the TV series she received a promotion but so did Mihoshi. Kiyone is level-headed and serious. She is the only other victim other that Tenchi. She is an excellent detective. Her combat skills are extraordinary and she has the natural gut instincts of an excellent detective.

Mihoshi Kuramitsu

Mihoshi is a member of the Galaxy Police (GP) she only got this position because the Grand Marshall is her grandfather. The GP thought that they could handle one person as clueless as Mihoshi by assigning her to a remote sector in the Sol system. It's quiet there, nothing really big happens there, Right? What's the worst that could happen? Unfortunately that's where Tenchi lives and as you can tell things around Tenchi are hardly normal. Maybe they should have tried a more remote system... Mihoshi's grandfather is the Grand Marshall of the Galaxy Police. Because of this Mishoshi's chief and commanding officer have to take good care of his granddaughter. After her graduation from the Galaxy Police Academy Mihoshi was assigned her partner Kiyone. Mihoshi looks up to her and wants nothing more than to spend time with Kiyone. Mihoshi seems to be good at sleeping, karaoke, and screwing up. She has a small cube called her control cube. Using this control cube which is supposed to be used to control her ship. Whenever Mihoshi plays with it impossible effects are generated. By turning it one way and then another, the sun goes out. When Mihoshi plays with her control cube trying to generate an effect, stand back because you never know what will happen.

Zero
Powers:Zero duplicates other beings gaining their appearance, voice, powers and memories.

Zero is a robot created my Dr. Clay. She was created to be the perfect spy for the doctor. The reason that Zero is such a perfect spy is that she captures a person who is close to the subject. She duplicates them then takes their place and learns the desired information. There is one fault in Zero's disguise. No matter what form she takes a mark appears somewhere on her body, usually somewhere concealable. This is because of Dr. Clay's ego. He likes to put his personal logo on his favorite things. After Zero's second to last mission, some of the traits her subject had remained. Zero's memory banks were wiped after the mission but somehow some traits remained. These traits manifested as emotions which Zero gained. This allowed her to break Clay's control over her. Ryoko's feelings that Zero copied were so strong that Zero fell in love with Tenchi. She couldn't bring herself to complete her mission because one of her objectives was to kill Tenchi. After breaking Clay's control she came to like the feelings that she had for Tenchi and the affection that Tenchi showed for her. She wanted noting more than to become Ryoko. As a solution to this problem Washu combined Ryoko and Zero (with Ryoko's permission.) The result was a Ryoko that was more open to her feelings.

Powers: Doctor Clay is a brilliant inventor and scientist.

Dr. Clay has been working for Tokimi, who he calls "Lady Tokimi". Tokimi is one of the three goddesses in the Tenchi Universe. She commissions him with a mission to capture Washu and bring her to Tokimi. He thinks that this will be a fairly easy task but he knows that it has its risks. His plan is to capture Ryoko and use his robot named Zero who has the ability to copy anything and mimic it to perfection. Zero seems to have maintained some memories from previous missions despite his repeated attempts to remove them. Zero and Dr. Clay manage to capture Ryoko and copy her. They cannot copy her gem because of its power so they take Ryoko's. Zero cannot capture Washu because Ryoko's feelings for Tenchi do not allow her to do anything that will make him upset in front of him anyway. After Zero turns against him he disables the robot and sets the ship to self-destruct. He escapes in an escape pod. After the ship's core overloads and forms a black hole he sees Tenchi using the Lighthawk wings to save Mihoshi and Ayeka. While stunned by this he crashes into Ryo-Ohki and is captured. After capture Mihoshi brings him in a stasis cell and Tokimi erases his memory of her.
