Serena does not have many qualities that make for a super heroine. Being Sailor Moon is more of a growing experience for her (after all, its the only thing that she gets better at in the series). She's earned a nickname which she dislikes (ie. Meatball head), which comes from her distinctive hair style. Serena is also the Moon Princess of the Moon Kingdom, one thousand years ago. She was to marry Prince Darien of Earth before the Moon Kingdom was destroyed.

When he was a child, he was in a terrible car crash. Both his parents were killed, and he was left with no memory. He has spent a lot of his time trying to figure out who he is. When the forces of darkness descend upon the Earth, Darien transforms into the caped super hero Tuxedo Mask. Primarily he offers moral support to the Sailor Scouts when they are in danger. He can project sharpened roses, which often stun evil creatures. Then Sailor Moon and the Scouts can finish the monster off. Thanks to Sailor Moon, his past identity of Prince Darien was revealed. Long ago, Darien was the prince of the Earth, and was deeply in love with Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. During the fierce final battle, Prince Darien rejected the evil of Queen Beryl and the Negaforce to protect Serenity. In the battle, Serenity and Darien were both killed. Queen Serenity sent them to the future on Earth. In the first part of Sailor Moon R, Darien loses his memory. Deep inside of himself he still knows that he must protect Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts. In this case, he creates a split personality and becomes The Moonlight Knight.

Amy is the brains of the team. Anytime anything mentally complex presents itself, she rises to the challenge. Rated with an IQ approaching that of a genius, she can generally solve almost any puzzle that the Sailor Scouts finds themselves in. She also is the most aware of Serena being an emotional teenager, and not just a superheroine who isn't sensitive to the needs of a young girl. As a Sailor Scout, Amy also fits the description of the idiom 'Brainpower over firepower'. Sailor Mercury's attacks are more defensive then offensive but they get far more powerful as the series progresses.

Just in case you are wondering, Rini's name is actually Serena, although for the sake of not confusing the two, the younger one likes to be called Rini. Rini is the future daughter of Serena and Darien. In Sailor Moon R, Rini goes back into the past to find the Silver Crystal to try and save Crystal Tokyo and her mother in the future. In Sailor Moon S, Rini comes back to begin her training as the Sailor Senshi of the future moon. In Sailor Moon Super S, Rini plays a major roll. She is the human that Helios (Pegasus) contacts and trusts.

Raye has (in her opinion) the best leadership qualities of all the Sailor Scouts. As a teenager, she has gained popularity amongst those her own age. She goes out on dates, much more often than the others. At first, she disliked Serena and found her unfit, personality-wise, as being the leader. Later on however, she realizes the errors she made. She then helps Sailor Moon out. Being a strong shoulder during Sailor Moon's troubled times.

She is the tallest Inner and the second tallest Scout (Uranus is taller), this is why her school uniform is different, they did not have one her size. She likes to step up to challenges (unlike Amy, she fights rather than thinks).

Sailor Uranus appears at the beginning of Sailor Moon S and possessed the first talisman; the Space Sword. From her physical appearance, Amara is almost indistinguishable from a boy. But, by adding to this fact that she acts like a boy by driving around on her motorcycle compounds the confusion of those who don't know her particularly well. She prefers to wear the male school uniform. For many girls, Amara appears to be a handsome boy. However, when the Inner Scouts get crushes on her, Amara teases them plentifully, especially after they find out that she is really a girl. As Sailor Uranus, she takes a more serious turn. She is utterly devoted to her mission, and is willing to sacrifice her and her partner's life if it would save the universe. In Sailor Stars she and Neptune join with Galaxia (who takes their bracelets). But their power breaks the evil spell and they turn against Galaxia and attack just before they are destroyed.

Sailor Neptune appears at the beginning of Sailor Moon S and carries the second talisman; the Deep Aqua Mirror. Michelle's intellect is the greatest of her assets. Unlike her partner Amara, Michelle considers the implications of her actions before going into action. She also has a very calm personality. She is very skilled at painting, swimming and playing her violin. As Sailor Neptune, she is also very serious, and like Amara, willing to die for her cause. However, she does not want to see Haruka get hurt, and has often compromised her position to protect her partner. In Sailor Stars she and Uranus join with Galaxia (who takes their bracelets). Sailor Pluto appears at the end of Sailor Moon R. Her powers are over the control of time. As Sailor Pluto, she wields the Time Staff (it looks like a very long key). In her staff is the third talisman, the Garnet Orb. Trista likes to shroud herself in mystery. As the guardian of the passage of time, she is very isolated, and only likes to reveal herself in the most desperate situations. Unlike the other scouts, Trista is much older although her appearance is still as a young adult due to her existence in the passage of time.

Sailor Saturn appears at the end of Sailor Moon S. Hotaru Tomoe is the only child of Dr. Souichi Tomoe. She is a very shy and isolated person, who does not make friends easily. In her normal form, she has the ability to cure wounds. This power has been her nemesis in her social life. Her classmates claiming that her odd ability is unnatural and gross. This has led to her spending most of her time in her father's mansion. But she has a weak body. She can exhaust herself much quicker than any normal person, partly as a trade off to her ability to heal. As Sailor Saturn, she is not her normal, well spirited self. As the vessel for the entity known as Mistress Nine, her only goal is to destroy all life on Earth. Sailor Saturn also wields the fearsome pole-arm known as the Silence Glaive. She can use the weapon to slice through anything that gets in her way. Sailor Saturn eventually breaks free of Mistress 9, but has to die in the process of destroying the evil she let into the world. Hotaru is revived as a baby and starts to grow-up, having a normal life. She then becomes Sailor Saturn again in Sailor Stars and powers-up all the Scouts.

Kou Seiya is one of the mysterious Sailor Starlights, Sailor Star Fighter. Seiya has developed an attraction to Usagi, which makes Haruka very protective and suspicious. Seiya does not seem to mind, as he flirts with Usagi day in and day out. Like the rest of the Sailor Starlights, Seiya is a guy but transforms into a girl. The Starlights seem to have their own agenda, as they are not part of the team in Sailor Stars. Seiya, in particular, has a particular beef with Haruka, and this is paraleled with the tension between Super Sailor Uranus and Sailor Star Fighter. Seiya has short black hair, blue eyes /w tapered pony-tail and grey star earrings.

Kou Yaten is one of the mysterious Sailor Starlights, Sailor Star healer. Yaten is a squeamish, artsy guy. Yaten has the most obnoxious, self-centered attitude, and he seems to have a "comment" towards anything anyone says. Yaten is worse than Rei when it comes to picking on and making fun of others, especially Usagi. As Sailor Star Healer, she fights against Sailor Galaxia and her various minions alongside Sailors Star Fighter and Star Maker. They're very mysterious, and keep to themselves, much like how the Outer Senshi kept to themselves in Sailor Moon S. Yaten is the shortest of the Starlights. he has short gray hair /w long pony-tail, pea-green eyes, and seems to be always in an indifferent, grouchy mood.

Like the rest of the Sailor Starlights, Taiki is a guy but transforms into a girl. The Starlights and the Senshi fight the bad guys as how the Inner and Outer Senshi fought the Death Busters in Sailor Moon S. Taiki is the tallest of the Starlights. He has dark brown hair, purple eyes and a long pony-tail.
